Will the USPS® Change of Address Service slow down? That is the question movers who need to file a change of address (US Postal Service Form 3575) need to think about.
According to an article just published by CBS News, 20 Attorneys General filed a lawsuit against the Postal Regulatory Commission alleging that the oversight agency did no vet the plan before Louis Dejoy, the Trump appointed sycophant deployed the plan. Critics of the plan contend the move was both political in nature in order to make mail in voting ever more difficult - and even corrupt. Dejoy allegedly maintains significant ties with private shippers who could profit from the USPS® slowdown.
As for movers looking to file USPS® change of address request, the whole mail forwarding process becomes that much more tenuous. Forwarded mail is already riskier; it can easily be slower and even lost. The new 1st class mail slowdown makes USPS® mail forwarding even that more tenuous.
We strongly suggest using AddressWizard instead. Because we update everyone who sends you mail with your new address, you don't have to stress about US Postal Service mail forwarding being late or lost.
We want to send a shout-out to the good folks at www.becausemovingsucks.com. They wrote a cool review that compares AddressWizard's 1-Stop Change of Address Service™ vs. The USPS® Change of Address Service. It seems fair and honest, but we are less than objective! Basically, the Post Office is cheaper but AddressWizard saves you so much more time and eliminates the risk of late and lost mail! Thanks guys!
